Population
The South East State of Somalia, encompassing the regions of Lower Shabelle, Middle Juba, and Jamame District, is home to an estimated 2.5 million people. Geographically, the state stretches from the fertile agricultural lands of Lower Shabelle in the north, including towns like Wanlaweyn, Sablaale, Kurtunwaarey, Qoryooley, Afgooye, and Barawe, down through the Middle Juba region with Bu'aale, Jilib, and Saakow, and further southwest to the Jamame District along the Indian Ocean coast.
